FIVE persons, including a former actress and former military personnel, were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Rizal, Lanao del Norte and Davao Oriental.
Two of the suspects were identified as Michael Reuben de Guzman and Ma. Perseveranda Isidro, alias Ivy Isidro, former actress.
Reports said De Guzman and Isidro were arrested at 1 a.m. on Ipil-Ipil St., Bgy. San Vicente, Angono, Rizal, based on a search warrant against De Guzman.
Recovered from the duo’s possession were three sachets of suspected shabu (1.13 grams) amounting to P3,300, a sachet of marijuana (1.57 grams) worth P100 and assorted drug paraphernalia.
In Lanao del Norte, elements of the CIDG and Iligan City Police Office arrested Jovane Nale during a buy-bust operation in Purok 6, Bgy. Tambacan, Iligan City.
Recovered from him were 18 sachets of suspected shabu worth P19,500, caliber .38 revolver, ammunition and assorted drug paraphernalia.
In Davao Oriental, police arrested Romeo Aquino, alias Boboy, and Geral Diansay, former soldier, both known notorious drug pushers.
The two suspects were arrested based on a search warrant issued by court in Purok Ima, Quezon St., Sitio Magapo, Bgy. Central, Mati City, Davao Oriental.
Seized from their possession were two sachets of suspected shabu, three sticks of marijuana, cellular phones, assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.
The suspects were charged with violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act or 2002 and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
