NINE drug suspects were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Laguna and Bataan, police reported yesterday.
Intel operatives of the Cabuyao Police Station arrested four suspected drug pushers and four users, who were caught in the act of sniffing suspected shabu, during a buy-bust operation on Saint Maria St., Blk. 11, Phase 5, Saint Joseph 7, Bgy. Marinig, Cabuyao City, Laguna, Monday morning.
A report to acting Laguna police director Senior Supt. Joel C. Pernito by Supt. Joseph Bayan, Cabuyao police chief, identified the arrested suspects as Walter Alaisa, 40, alias Wally; Jeramie Alagar, 30, Jofree Galang, 47, Jayson Das, 31, Dennis Mercado, 49, Shine Flores, 22, Raquel Timog, 22, and Jennelyn Caraan, 29.
The operatives seized from the suspects’ hideout suspected shabu worth P120,000 and shabu paraphernalia at about 9 a.m.
Four of the suspects -- Mercado, Flores, Timog and Caraan -- were caught sniffing shabu inside the pushers’ house.
Seized from Alaisa were eight medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline subtance suspected to be shabu placed in a pouch, P900 cash and a P500 bill while a medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of shabu was confiscated from Alagar.
The pieces of evidence were brought to the Police Regional Crime Laboratory Office 4A in Camp Vicente Lim while the eight suspects, who were charged with illegal possession of illegal drugs, were detained at the Cabuyao City Jail.
In Bataan, a 28-year-old woman was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Poblacion, Balanga City, last September 23.
Senior Supt. Benjamin Silo Jr., acting Bataan police director, identified the suspect as Rosalie Memoracion, alias Bunso, of Bgy. Bagumbayan, Balanga City.
Silo said the suspect is listed in the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council as among the pushers being watched by officials.
Memoracion was arrested after selling P500 worth of shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Confiscated from her were three medium transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the marked P500 bill used in the operation.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
