THREE more alleged drug suspects were felled by bullets in an operation carried out by operatives from the Manila Police District (MPD) in separate places in Manila. In one of the incidents, a woman was used as a shield by a suspect but survived the incident unscathed.
At around 11:50 p.m., police killed suspect Daniel Petrache, alias ‘Daniel Ulo’ and ‘Kuya’, 31, of 285 Lakandula St., Tondo, Manila.
Prior to the shooting, the MPD-Station 2 received information that the said suspect had been flagrantly involved in illegal drugs trade in the said area and based on this, a buy-bust operation was conducted against him.
The suspect allegedly resisted and got shot dead in the process.
In another operation, suspect Michael Serrano, alias ‘Mac-Mac’, 35, was shot dead inside his home at 2858 Road 2, Barreto Subd., Beata Ext., Pandacan, Manila, at around 2:30 a.m. during a buy-bust operation carried out by MPD-Station 10 operatives.
The suspect allegedly sensed that the buyer was a cop. He rushed to his home and allegedly, while the cops were talking him into surrendering, the suspect opted to get a gun and then fired at the police who said they had no other option but to retaliate, killing him instantly.
Recovered from him were 26 plastic sachets containing shabu and three cal. .38 handguns.
Station Anti-Illegal Drugs (SAID) operatives from the San Nicolas Police Community Precinct (PCP) under MPD-Station 11, meanwhile, killed Gideon Miranda, alias ‘Poks’, 32, a member of the notorious ‘Bahala na Gang’ and residing at 8 Gate 64, Area C, Parola Compound, Binondo, Manila, during ‘Oplan Tokhang’ the other day at 4:40 p.m.
The suspect allegedly learned that cops were knocking on the doors in the area, asking those involved in drugs to surrender.
Allegedly, the suspect was alarmed and ran to the roof of his house. There, his neighbor Sarah Jane Cumulang, 22, was hanging clothes when the suspect took her by the neck and planned to use her as a shield.
However, the woman resisted so the two of them fell off the roof. The woman was able to get up quickly and run away from the suspect.
Seeing that the cops were approaching him, the suspect allegedly fired at their direction with the use of a .38 revolver. The cops fired back, killing him instantly.
