THE services of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) were disrupted after they received a bomb threat from an unidentified caller yesterday morning.
The bomb threat was received by the LTFRB-Central Office at 10:30 a.m., forcing them to stop operations and ordered employees to leave respective offices for safety.
LTFRB officials were forced to close the gates of the building.
Responding Quezon City Police District-Bomb Squad (QCPD-BS) conducted a search for the reported bomb which turned out to be negative.
LTFRB Board Member Engineer Ronaldo Corpus said the bomb threat might be due to the intensified operations against colorum vehicles and the anti-corruption drive at the agency.
The services of LTFRB returned immediately after the police cleared the main office of the agency.
