THREE men wanted for rape were captured by agents of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in separate operations in T’boli, South Cotabato, last Sunday and yesterday, PNP-CIDG director Chief Supt. Roel B. Obusan said yesterday.
Two of the suspects, identified as Ronald Ignacio and John Francisco Suberpena, both wanted for two counts of statutory rape, were arrested in Bgy. Lambuling at 4 a.m. Sunday by members of the local CIDG and the local police, said CIDG Region 12 chief Supt. Felix Service.
Yesterday, CIDG operatives arrested 46-year-old Peter Mison, a man wanted for two counts of rape, during an operation in Bgy. Malugong.
Mison has been tagged as the no. 1 most wanted person in T’boli where he has been identified as a member of the so-called ‘Katiga Group,’ said to be engaged in sexual assaults against women living in far-flung areas of Upper Valley, South Cotabato.
In Bgy. Norala, CIDG officers arrested Maria Huqueriza, a woman wanted for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at 9 a.m. Sunday.
Huqueriza was tagged as the 6th most wanted person in the province due to her involvement in illegal drug trafficking.
The suspects are now being held at the local CIDG detention facility.
