THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is now closely monitoring showbiz personalities following the arrest of a half-brother of broadway artist/singer Lea Salonga last week and the killing of Maritoni Fernandez’ sister Sunday in Quezon City.

QCPD director Senior Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar however refused to divulge the names of showbiz personalities cum drug personalities but said they are strictly and closely monitoring them.
The QC police earlier nabbed Salonga’s half brother Philip Mendoza (Salonga) in a buy-bust where he yielded 14 pieces of party drugs ecstasy to a policeman who posed as a buyer.
During interrogation, Philip mentioned several names in the showbiz industry using ecstasy.
Eleazar said they are gathering more evidence and information and instructed QCPD-Special Operations Unit head Supt. Rogarth Campo to investigate and validate Philip’s information.
He called on showbiz personalities who are into illegal drugs to surrender under the PNP’s Oplan Tokhang and support President Duterte’s fight against the menace.
Meanwhile, the Southern Police District (SPD) yesterday confirmed that Aurora Moynihan, sister of actress Maritoni Fernandez, was indeed included in police drug watch list.
Senior Supt.
