2 arrested for gun, drugs

TWO persons were arrested by joint police operatives last Thursday for possession of a gun and transporting illegal drugs in Barangay Talaga, Tanauan City.

Batangas police director S/Supt. Leopoldo Cabanag identified the suspects as Romer Roxas, 39, married, jobless, and Jemar Dimapilis, 25, single and a member of the Civil Security Union-Mayor’s Anti-Crime Group (CSU-MACG). Both are residents of Bgy. Talaga, Tanauan City.

The two suspects were turned over to the Tanauan City police.

Investigators Rhaldie Manzanilla, PO1 Leo Arnie Leycano and Jhune Carlos Coballes of 2nd company  conducted an operation against illegal drugs when they intercepted the two suspects aboard a motorcycle allegedly transporting shabu.

They immediately apprehended the two.  They recovered five packets of suspected shabu from Roxas and a cal. 38 revolver from Dimapilis. The duo also yielded a black holster, six bullets for cal. .38 revolver and one transparent plastic canister.
