PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte yesterday offered a P2-million bounty for members of the Philippine National Police (PNP), popularly called “ninja cops,”  who are protecting the illegal drug trade.

“I am placing on their head P2 million,” Duterte said in his speech at the commemoration of National Heroes Day at the Libingan ng mga Bayani at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The President said his war against illegal drugs would be bloody, stressing that he will “l be harsh as ever be.”
Duterte reiterated that he would take “full and legal responsibility” for his no-nonsense war against illegal drugs as he told police authorities to step up their campaign.
“I will go to prison for you,” the President said.
“I will not relent. The campaign will be continuous. I will finish this war against corruption, drugs, and crime,” Duterte added.
“I am trying my best to restore order (in our country),” he said.
“Most of the criminal acts are on account of the drug trade,” Duterte said.
