NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office director Chief Supt. Oscar D. Albayalde yesterday swore into office 3,369 newly-promoted non-commissioned officers of the Metro Manila police and encouraged them anew to do their best in helping the government win the war against drugs by first and foremost, seeing to it that they are drug-free and are not involved in drugs themselves.
“As your regional director, I take pride in every accomplishment that you achieve. At lubos akong nagagalak dahil bukod sa inyong nakamit na promosyon ay mas higit kayong makakatulong ngayon sa ating pagpapatupad ng batas,” Albayalde said as he administered the oath-taking and pinning of the new rank insignia of the 3,369 newly promoted police non-commissioned officers at the NCRPO headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.
Albayalde said that only 3,369 among the 6,662 applicants were promoted after a thorough screening process. The newly-promoted policemen include 139 senior police officers 4; 45 senior police officers 3; 153 senior police officers 2; 692 senior police officers 1; 874 police officers 3; and 1,466 police officers 2.
Newly-promoted Chief Supt. Amadon Clifton B. Empiso, the NCRPO chief Directorial Staff and concurrent chairman of the NCRPO PNCO Selection and Promotion Board, assured that the 3,369 were properly evaluated and selected to qualify the next higher ranks.
Albayalde congratulated the promotees and their respective families and further encouraged them to adhere and be sincere to their sworn duties and be steadfast in their ongoing aggressive campaign against drugs, crime and corruption.
