PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa warned three regional police directors to increase their efforts on their campaign against illegal drugs to avoid possible relief from their posts.
Dela Rosa said based on the assessment conducted during Tuesday’s Command Conference, three regional directors were found to have low achievements on their war against illegal drugs.
The three are police directors from National Capital Region (NCR), Region 6 and Region 5.
Dela Rosa said the appointment of regional directors are on a contractual basis and will be renewed after three months based on their performance.
“Medyo kailangan pa talagang magsumikap. From the very start sabi ko sa kanila my appointment to you in that particular position is on a contractual basis, meaning renew natin after three months, ’pag ’di ka nakapasa sa standard natin hindi na kita i-renew,” Dela Rosa said.
In line with this, Dela Rosa asked his men to double their effort to successfully reach their target.
“Double time their efforts because we are already almost two months less from our six-month time frame, baka gahulin tayo sa oras, kaya ang advice ko sa kanila, double time, triple time their efforts para maging successful kami sa aming giyera laban sa droga,” Dela Rosa added.
Dela Rosa said if he will just look at his own standard, he can say that his men are performing very well but some of them are lagging behind so they have to double their efforts otherwise they will be relieved from their posts.
“Kung ang babatayan natin ang aking standard, they are performing very well but still kung babantayan natin ’yung standard talaga ng six months, some of them are lagging behind so they have to triple their efforts otherwise magkakatanggalan dito, I will relieve them,” Dela Rosa said.
