A member of the Quezon City Police District allegedly involved in drugs was killed in an alleged shootout with his fellow police officers on Tuesday.

Killed on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds in the body was PO1 Reyadzper Sayadi Ibba, 34, assigned at QCPD Station 3, and residing at 114 Maguindanao St., Bgy. Culiat, QC.

Case investigator PO2 Jerome Dolente of the QCPD-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU), said the incident happened at 7 p.m. on Katipunan Avenue near corner Gen. Luis Avenue, Bgy. Nagkaisang Nayon.

Undercover agents of Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (RAIDSOTG) led by Senior Insp. Jansky Jaafar lured Ibba into selling them shabu.

However, during the transaction, Ibba sensed that he was dealing with policemen. Members of RAID-SOTG said Ibba pulled out a handgun and fired at the officers, prompting them to retaliate.

Police recovered two plastic sachets of suspected shabu from Ibba’s pocket, a Glock 17 pistol, several bullets and a  Suzuki Raider 150 (3346-TA).
