GOV. Vilma Santos says it’s true she had a meeting with TV5 execs, as arranged by Mother Lily, but she says it doesn’t mean she’s now moving to them or doing a movie with them. “Open naman ako to work with any company kasi hindi naman ako nakatali sa kontrata kahit kanino,” she says. “But the important thing is kung ano 'yung project that you’ll offer to me.

"Useless na mag-meeting nang mag-meeting tayo, ang importante, ilatag sa ’kin yung project, give me the script, at kapag nagustuhan ko, then I will do it.  Kasi nga, limited lang ang puwede kong gawing projects sa showbiz dahil priority ko pa rin ang paglilingkod ko sa Batangas. Dito sa ‘The Healing’ that I’m now doing for Star Cinema, two days a week lang ako puwede mag-shoot and Direk Chito Roño knows that.”

Other big stars like Sharon Cuneta, Regine Velasquez and Lea Salonga are now on Twitter. How about her? “Nagpapaturo na ako sa co-stars ko sa ‘Healing’ on how to tweet. Sina Janice de Belen, Kim Chiu at Pokwang ang tutors ko. Magi-start muna ako with another name at kapag sanay na ako, I’ll use my real name na. Abangan nyo.”

SARAH DENIES FEUD WITH VICE, KRIS

SARAH Geronimo was working on Valentine’s Day. It’s the launch of her new musical variety show, “Sarah G. Live,” that starts airing on February 26 after “Rated K” and before “PBB UnliNight.” So who’s her Valentine? “Ang family ko,” she says.

Self-titled musical shows were in vogue before, like “An Evening with Pilita,” “Carmen on Camera,”  “Sharon,”  “Superstar” and “Vilma.” It faded for sometime but ABS-CBN is now reviving it with her “Sarah G. Live,” which means she now belongs to the same level as the aforementioned big singing stars. “When Boss Vic del Rosario told me about it, natakot ako. Sabi ko, di ko yata kaya.

"It’s too big a responsibility for me. Pero ngayon, tinatanggap ko ito as a blessing and as a challenge for me to grow as a performer. After all, marami pa kong puwedeng i-share sa mga tao while performing. Pero siempre, kinakabahan ako kasi di naman ito tulad ng ‘ASAP’ na marami kami. Dito, ang pangalan ko ang nakapronta.”

The show will be directed by Erick Salud (“Ligo na U”), with Louie Ocampo as musical director, Georcelle Dapat as choreographer and Luis Manzano as co-host. Who will be her guests? “I don’t know yet. Surprise daw.”

How about Gerald Anderson who’s being linked to her? “I told him, mag-guest ka naman.”

A VTR was shown and it’s her “ASAP” co-stars delivering messages for her and wishing her well: Martin Nievera, Arnel Pineda, Bamboo, John Lloyd Cruz, Billy Crawford, Gary Valenciano, Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson and even Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez who are from the rival “Party Pilipinas.”

Is it true Vice Ganda is sore at her as she didn’t want to guest in his show and now, she’s even replacing it? Kris Aquino is also said to be annoyed with her as she also doesn’t want to guest in her talk show so Kris and Vice are making “kampihan” against her. “I don’t think ganun sila mag-isip. This Sunday, February 19, I’ll be guesting in Vice Ganda’s show  to prove na okay kami. I really don’t know why may ganyang issue ganung okay naman kami when we did ‘Hating Kapatid’.”

How about ex-BF Rayver Cruz and his current GF Cristine Reyes? Can they guest in her show? She was stalled for   a while before saying: “Yes, puwede naman silang mag-guest. Why not?”

She says she’s single on Valentine and happy about it. “Hindi naman porke araw ng mga puso, kailangang ipamigay mo na agad ang iyong puso. Dapat, mag-ingat. You can enjoy it naman with your loved ones.”

ANNABELLE MULLS FILING A CASE AGAINST YNNA

ANNABELLE Rama said she personally supervised the renovation of their home in White Plains. “Suwerte kasi ito sa ’min kaya di namin ipagbibili at mas pinili naming bumalik dito,” she says. “Ito 'yung house and lot na nabili namin with the help of Mother Lily nang magbalikbayan kami noong 1986 from the States at mag-resume si Eddie (Gutierrez) ng showbiz career niya. Yung mga gamit din dito ang kinuha at binenta ni Nadia (Montenegro) nang hindi sinasabi sa’kin.”

Is it true she also plans to sue Nadia’s daughter, Ynna? “Pinag-iisipan ko pa. Kasi sinabi niyang binubugaw ko siya, di naman totoo. Tinuruan lang siyang magsinungaling ng nanay niya. Wala naman silang mai-present na lalaking pinagbugawan ko raw sa kanila. Ni hindi nila masabi kunsaan nangyari, sa restaurant ba, parking lot, o anuman. Kailangang panindigan nila ang mga bintang nila kung talagang nagsasabi sila ng totoo. Ako, never ko tinuruan ang mga anak kong magsinungaling o lumaban sa matatanda sa kanila. Sabi pa ni Ynna, bakit hindi ko na lang sila pakawalan kung ayaw ko na sa kanila.

"Sila itong basta nagdemanda sa ’kin nang wala kong masamang pinapakita sa kanila. Yun pala, gusto lang ni Nadia na ialis sila sa pagma-manage ko dahil nanghihinayang sa komisyon. Kung nagpaalam lang sila sa ’kin nang maayos, di hindi umabot sa ganito. Mas pinili nilang idemanda agad ako, eh, so now they have to honor their contract with me. Sana, isipin ni Ynna na may utang na loob siya sa ’kin. Dahil sa ’kin kaya siya nakapasok sa GMA at kumita ng milyones.”

PAULEEN SUSPECTED OF BEING PREGGY

AS expected, the viewers, who saw Pauleen Luna collapsing and losing consciousness on camera while hosting the “Juan for All” portion in “Eat Bulaga’s” special show at Barangay Centro in Davao, quickly jumped to the conclusion that she’s pregnant, courtesy of Vic Sotto with whom she’s rumored to be having a love affair. She wasn’t able to go on with her hosting chores and was taken back to their hotel to rest. Pauleen was hosting it with Allan K and Paolo Ballesteros since regular segment hosts Jose and Wally were not around. Jose himself was absent from the show for several days due to back pain.

Allan said Pauleen fainted due to lack of sleep the previous night. Add to that the fact they didn’t have a proper breakfast that morning and it was so hot in Davao that day. “Hindi niya kinaya ang sobrang pagod sa biyahe at ang init ng panahon,” he added.

But Vic himself made fun of what happened and asked if Pauleen is looking for something sour or “maasim”, meaning, she’s “naglilihi” or conceiving. Pauleen is now back in Manila and she just laughs off speculations that she’s infanticipating. She said the doctors told her she passed out because of hunger, dehydration and the hot weather. But her co-hosts in “Eat Bulaga” continue to kid her: “Naku, kulang ka lang sa pansin kaya nang-aagaw ka ng eksena.”

Some doubting Thomases, though, continue to believe she’s on the family way. We’ll find out a few months from now if this were true if and when her tummy starts bulging.

DENNIS AVOIDS BIANCA'S GRADUATION

DENNIS Trillo cannot understand why it’s a big thing for some people that he was not present at Bianca King’s graduation rites held at the PICC after she finished her filmmaking course at St. Benilde.

“It’s more of a family affair, para ito sa parents niya who came all the way from Canada,” he says. “Hindi naman kailangang pati ako, nandun. Also, I’m busy taping for ‘Biritera’. Binati ko na naman siya before that. It’s really a big accomplishment na she was able to get a college degree kahit super busy siya sa showbiz assignments niya.”

It’s a wise decision for Dennis, as far as we’re concerned. As one writer puts it: “Kung nagpunta siya roon, pagpipiyestahan lang sila ng media at mawawala sa focus yung real reason ng celebration: ang graduation ni Bianca. Moment ni Bianca yun kaya hindi na niya kailangang maki-eksena pa.”

ROCCO OVERTAKES COLLEAGUES

ROCCO Nacino feels so blessed that after “Time of My Life,” he now plays another lead role in “The Good Daughter” as the leading man of title-roler Kylie Padilla. To think, he’s only second runner up to Steven Silva and Enzo Padilla in “StarStruck V” and yet, he now has more assignments than them.

“I’m really thankful to GMA dahil ang ganda ng bagong role assigned to me in ‘Good Daughter’ as Darwin,” he says. “Anak ako rito ni Alicia Meyer but tinalikuran ko siya as she’s greedy and scheming. Medyo bad boy ako sa simula, but I will eventually side with Kylie na siyang inaapi niya.”

How’s it working with Kylie? “We had workshops before taping and maganda ang rapport namin. In my first two soaps, ‘Koreana’ and ‘Time of My Life’, si Kris Bernal ang katambal ko, so ngayon, new leading lady naman.”

Rocco’s career is really booming. After he got acclaim for “Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa” where he’s sure to be nominated as best new movie actor, he’s now also tapped to play the title role in a movie based on the Ilocano epic, “Bi-ag ni Lam-ang,”  to be produced by the same people led by Imee Marcos who did the award-winning “PintaKasi”.  How did he get the role? “Just like in ‘Sayaw’, nag-go see ako sa audition at akong sinuwerteng makuha. I have to train para mag-arnis for the role. Si Isabelle Daza raw ang makakapareha ko and will shoot in April, which is just fine kasi tumatakbo na ang ‘Good Daughter’ by then.”
