NAKU, Ian F., nakakaloka ang reaction ng mga taong obviously ay na-impress sa trailer pa lamang ng first movie team-up nina John Lloyd Cruz at Angel Locsin — Unofficially Yours — heto at umuulan ang hiling for tickets sa premiere ng movie sa dalawang sinehan sa Megamall tonight.

Balak pa rin daw nilang panoorin ang movie sa opening nito the following day.

Produced ng Star Cinema and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, the film will open in theaters nationwide tomorrow.    

Kung sabagay, even John Lloyd and Angel are themselves intrigued sa theme ng pelikula. It’s different daw talaga from the concept ng mga pelikulang previously ay ginawa nila – individually.

Adult in theme yet moviegoers of any age can relate to it, including the characters which both of them are portraying.

After all nga naman, let’s face it, times have changed when it comes to love and relationship.

In Unofficially Yours, John Lloyd plays a professional dentist, who decides to try another profession — ang maging writer. His name is Mackey.

He is accepted to write for the lifestyle section of a broadsheet, na ang isa sa mga senior writer ay si Princess or Ces for short.

Assigned si Mackey to train with Ces.

It turns out na may ‘kahapong’ namagitan sa kanila. Nag-engage sila sa one-night stand na dahil sa nangyari ang lahat nang madalian, they never got the chance to ask for each other’s name.

Somehow, magkakaroon na ng ideya na liberated si Ces when it comes to love at pakikipagrelasyon.             Which is the exact opposite of Mackey, who is old-fashioned at heart.

How the two are able to resolve their differences when they find themselves in love with each other, makes the movie even more intriguing.

How would they describe the film then? The two were asked during the movie’s presscon.

“We’d say its officially sexy,” they replied.

Asked if they would allow their respective ka-relasyon at the moment, Shaina Magdayao and Phil Younghusband, to watch the movie, both said: “Why not?”

John Lloyd and Angel said nakatulong nang husto ang pag-work nila together sa series na Imortal para maging ‘at home’ sila sa isa’t isa sa shooting.

Of course, magkaiba raw ang genre ng dalawa. Pero it cannot be denied na sa taping pa lamang ng Imortal, somehow ay may na-develop nang closeness sa kanila, na lalong na-enhance when they teamed up in Unofficially Yours.

For Angel, John Lloyd  is not just a good actor but a true friend as well.

“Puwede mo siyang i-trust all the way. Kahit sa intimate scenes namin sa pelikula, gentleman pa rin siya,” she said.

John Lloyd, for his part, said Angel represents sexiness in a woman. Pero, nandu’n daw ang kakaibang dating at porma niya na alam mong isa siyang babaing kailangang respetuhin at alagaan.

“I am lucky (sabay diin sa salitang ‘lucky’ habang nakasulyap kay Angel) to have worked with her twice.

“As usual, tulad ng ipinakita niya sa Imortal, she can play any role assigned to her. I would be lucky (kuha n’yo why he keeps on using the word ‘lucky’?) if I can work with her again soon,” dagdag pa ni John Lloyd.
