MOST everyone, if not all, always come back to his/her roots.
Mother Lily said she cannot forget that Star Cinema’s first movie na ini-release ay gawa ng kanyang Regal Entertainment, which she, of course, sold to them.
It was titled Adan Ronquillo and had Senator Bong Revilla playing the title role.
Small wonder, that current reports have it that Senator Bong and his sister Andeng Bautista-Ynares, wife of Rizal Governor Jun Jun Ynares, recently had a talk with Malou Santos, managing director of Star Cinema, with the possibility of him doing a movie or, perhaps, co-produce a movie with the film outfit of ABS-CBN.
Senator Bong and his siblings, as we all know, own the film outfit Imus Productions. Right now, according to Andeng, kinu-conceptualize na ng creative team ng Star Cinema ang possible project na pangungunahan ni Senator Bong.

Homecoming din na matatawag for Iza Calzado kapag gumawa siya ng movie with Star Cinema which is a big possibility, since she is now a contract star ng ABS-CBN. She is set na nga to start with her first assignment para sa Kapamilya, the 2nd edition ng Pinoy Biggest Loser which had Sharon Cuneta for its host sa first edition ng programa.
Iza, after all, had her first taste of the movie camera via a movie produced by Star Cinema, Milan, which had Claudine Barreto at Piolo Pascual playing the lead role.
She never got the chance, though, to experience appearing in any ABS-CBN shows, since immediately after ginawa niya ang Milan, she signed up with GMA-7.

Napaka-intimate ng birthday party for Malou Santos na ginanap sa Seven Corner, Crown Plaza in Ortigas, Pasig, nu’ng Thursday.
In attendance were just her immediate family, headed by her elder sister Charo Santos-Concio, president ng ABS CBN, and staff ng kanyang opisina sa Star Cinema.
It was at the party where we had the chance na makausap si Enrico Santos, foremost creative writer for tv at pelikula, and now isa nang director ng pelikula.
Direk Enrico’s current work is the still showing My Cactus Heart, now on its second week and happily pinipilahan ng audience. Mostly mga kaedad ng mga stars nito, na sina Maja Salvador, Matteo Guidicilli at Xian Lim, ang mga nanonood.
Unanimous ang mga taong nakapanood na ng movie na it’s fun na panoorin. Even the reviews say so, too, na it’s a cute film.
“Marami actually ang naka-relate sa pelikula,” susog ni Direk Enrico. “Mga nakapanood ng movie na parehong nakaranas ng naranasan ni Maja sa pelikula.”
Direk Enrico, likewise, predicts na after this movie, magiging established na ang careers nina Maja, Matteo at Xian.
“Hindi ko na kailangang sabihin na I had fun working with them,” dugtong pa ni Direk Enrico.
Katabi namin sa upuan si Direk Chito Rono. Yes, we were seated in the same table with Charo Santos, Cory Vidanes, vice president for Entertainment, ABS-CBN, Direk Enrico nga, Direk Rory Quintos, and husband and wife Direk Edgar Mortiz at Millete Santos.
From Direk Chito naman we learned na twice a week na nagre-report for shooting for The Healing si Batangas Governor Vilma Santos.
The film, aside from Governor Vi, also stars Kim Chiu, Carmi Martin at Mark Gil.
After The Healing, he might do one daw with Regal Entertainment. Then, balik Star Cinema naman siya for a project na magsasama for first time kina Gretchen Barreto at Angel Locsin.
