FEBRUARY is a love month. More than once, Matteo has declared his undying love for Maja and not for promotional reasons. What lesson has Matteo learned in the name of love?
He confesses: Follow your heart at dapat huwag matakot magmahal. Palagi mong iparamdam kung gaano mo siya kamahal.
Matteo has proven his love for Maja and more. Remember how he engaged Coco Martin into a fist fight?
But is it true that where his family is concerned, they prefer someone who doesn't belong to showbusiness to be the girlfriend of Matteo?
A LOVE STORY VIEWERS DON'T LOVE MUCH
'MY Cactus Heart' is a “must” movie conceived for people in love. It is also both a “fan” and “fun” offering from Star Cinema spiced with kilig moments.
Unquestionably, there is good chemistry between lead stars Maja Salvador and Matteo Guidicelli and the fact that they are lovers off camera inspired them to deliver an engaging performance.
Theirs is a loveteam we thought could draw a crowd and be at par with other loveteams that Star Cinema has produced.
Sadly, it was not a sizeable audience that we saw at Trinoma last Thursday afternoon .We were told by the usherette that it is normal for a second day showing “pero babawi po 'yan during weekends.”
We pray that she is right.
SAM DETERMINED
SAM Milby will be away for a few months to try his luck in Hollywood. This is something every Pinoy actor dreams of and it is not an easy one.
Over there and regardless of status, one has to audition even for a bit role. Ask Cesar Montano, the only Filipino actor in recent years that landed a big part (with speaking lines in the action war movie, The Great Raid).
We hope Sam's determination pays off.
FOREIGN VS LOCAL ACTS
THERE is an overload of foreign acts specially now that Valentines Day is nearing. They come in different categories from super sikat (like the recently concluded show of Katy Perry where she kissed a Fil-Am guy in the crowd) to over-the-hill entertainers whose classic hits Filipinos still appreciate.
Ought there be a limit, not a ban for foreign acts coming to town? The more, the merrier isn't exactly favorable on the part of local acts.
