Robin is Kris' new leading man

The event was held sa RJ Bistro, Timog with Batangas Governor Vilma Santos as inducting officer.

This year’s new PMPC officers are Roldan Castro, president; Rommel Galapon, vice president; Jimi Escala, secretary; Ador Saluta, asst. secretary; Boy Romero, treasurer; Blessie Cirera, asst. treasurer; Joe Cezar, auditor; Beth Gelena, press relations officer; and Benny Andaya, Timmy Basil, Julie-Gaspar, Letty Celi, Gerry Ocampo, Ernie Pecho and Veronica Samio, board of directors.

Special guest of honor was Jerry Yap, presidente ng National Press Club (NPC) who also did the honor of introducing Governor Vi.

Also present, aside from the members, were past PMPC presidents Ronald Constantino, Ethel Ramos, Rommel Gonzales, Fernan de Guzman and Melba Llanera (immediate past head of the club).

Naroon din sina German Moreno at Tess Celestino, who will be in charge of the production of this year’s PMPC Star Awards for Movies scheduled in March.

In her speech, Gov. Vi said she has been a part ng organization since na-organize ito 27 years ago. Kaya nga, aniya, marami sa members ay kaedad niya bagama’t of course, may mga taga-PMPC din na older than she is naman.

Gov. Vi will turn 59 sa kanyang birthday in November. And since she was nine years old nga raw when she joined showbiz via the movie Trudis Liit, eksaktong 50 years na siya sa showbiz.

A big celebration to mark the occasion will naturally be held.

Vi, The Healing, with Kim Chiu, promised to help her with the celebration.

A book on Gov. Vi will also be launched at isang TV special will be prepared.

Malou mentioned Angel Locsin daw as her possible co-star.

Gov. Vi revealed she likes the idea of working with Angel. She had the chance na ma-meet si Angel when the latter was still the girlfriend of her son Luis (Manzano).

But she wants to read the script daw muna. Dapat daw, prepared na ito kaagad if the plan is to start shooting it in July.

Gov.

Towards the end of our talk with Gov.

Luis, as we all know, is taking over the reigns of Deal or No Deal from Kris Aquino, who is doing a teleserye with Anne Curtis.

Did we hear it right that Kris might have Robin Padilla for her leading man?

By the way, kahit pa may bagong teleserye si Kris, she will continue hosting Kris TV.
