SHORT and sweet. It was how Sarah Geronimo's long delayed Christmas party for the press went last Wednesday night at the family-owned Imo's Pancit Malabon on Mindanao Ave. in Quezon City where guests feasted on seafoods and Sarah's mom, Divine's specialty, pancit Malabon.
"Sorry po, na-late ako dahil nakatulog po ako," she quickly apologized. "Kaso akala ko po, six o' clock, tapos, eight na daw. Nakatulog ako. Eh paggising ko, nag-lipstick pa po ako, nag-toothbrush..."
Sarah was immediately swarmed by the media when she arrived and asked whether it's true she's leaving “ASAP” for a new show. "Opo," she admitted. The new show, she said, will be a musical-variety titled “The Sarah G Show.” It will dominate the Sunday primetime slot once reigned by Sharon Cuneta, and will replace “Magandang Gabi, Vice" of comedian Vice Ganda.
But she assured that she will still appear on “ASAP” to promote whatever is there to promote. Sarah likewise denied that she's quitting “ASAP” as she is trying to avoid Cristine Reyes with whom she had a misunderstanding with because of Rayver Cruz. "Wala na po 'yun," she clarified.
So is she and Gerald Anderson now dating?
"Ay, hindi po," she mused.
But last Christmas, the handsome actor gifted her with a Tiffany necklace with a heart pendant.
In return, she gave him a shirt, "na mommy ko pa ang bumili, kasi wala talaga akong time mag-shopping."
Is Gerald now open to visit her at home?
"Tatanungin po natin si Mommy," she said, breaking into a coy laughter.
After the ambush interview, Sarah greeted everyone and proceeded to conduct a raffle. After declaring the winners, she quickly said: "O, tapos na po. Pwede na pong umuwi."
