WHERE are the infra?
The House Minority group asked this question to the administration as they criticized President Benigno Aquino III for his failure to show coherent agenda to improve the nation and the economy.
The Minority group is not just complaining against the delayed release of Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of the lawmakers but even on the absence of infrastructure projects.
“Ten months into office or 300 hundred days and he still has nothing to show in terms of concrete agenda,” Minority Leader Edcel Lagman said.
“Tapos at lumipas na ang tag-araw, tag-ulan na, ngunit walang mga bagong proyektong kalsada, gusali, tulay o pantalan ang nagawa o naitayo,” Lagman added.
They questioned Aquino for the delayed projects despite the early approval of the 2011 national budget.
Lagman said while it is true that budget deficit was decreased, the people are dismayed over the lack of development in their areas.
“Perhaps, it sounds good that our fiscal situation improved but, in reality, no pump-priming activity has been done by our government which could have bolstered our economy,” he stressed.
Earlier, Davao del Sur Rep. Marc Douglas Cagas said that portions of the pork barrel of many lawmakers remained unreleased.
According to Cagas, many of the constituents are already asking for medical and educational assistance but lawmakers have nothing to provide due to the delayed release of pork.
The opposition then said that President Aquino is not doing something for the improvement of the economy but only blame the previous administration.
