Andi preggy after messy breakup with Albie

IT’S CONFIRMED: Andi Eigenmann, 20, is four months pregnant. Her mom Jaclyn Jose confirmed it. She’s the second daughter of Mark Gil who’s infanticipating.

Maxine Eigenmann, Mark’s daughter with Bing Pimentel and sister of Sid Lucero (Timothy Eigenmann in real life), is also preggy. The father is 17-year old Albie Casino, who’s best known for “Mara Clara.” He’s now paired with Kathryn Bernardo in the film they’re doing with Julia Montes.  This absolves Jake Ejercito, the son of ex-Pres. Joseph Estrada and Laarni Enriquez who was earlier suspected to be the dad.

Andi was given a lot of good breaks by ABS-CBN. She hit it big when she starred in dual roles in “Agua Bendita” and was given her own stint in the Sunday show “Your Song Presents Andi.” She now stars opposite Coco Martin in “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.” We just don’t know what they’ll do with her character there when her tummy bulges noticeably.  She’ll definitely be replaced in the Regal Metro filmfest entry, “Ho-to-tay”, where she’s supposed to play one of the five daughters of Gloria Diaz. Andi has plenty of endorsements and we’re sure this will be affected by her pregnancy. Usually, the contracts for  ads have clauses indicating she’s not supposed to get preggy, so we don’t know what would happen with that now. Let’s just commend her for not choosing to abort the child, even after she had a messy breakup with Albie that was all over twitter for a while.

DINGDONG WON’T COMMENT ON HEART

MARIAN Rivera refuses to answer if she’s still in favor of her BF Dingdong Dantes to be Heart Evangelista’s leading man in his next TV soap, “Attic Cat.”

“Huwag na sana nating isali si Dong dito kasi hindi naman siya part ng ‘Temptation Island’,” she says. “Kawawa naman siya dahil wala rin siyang kinalaman sa nangyari sa amin.”

Dingdong himself refuses to make any comment when asked about the opinion of Dong-Ian fans that he should not agree to work with Heart. “Huwag nyo na lang ako hingan ng reaction diyan. Whatever I’d say, tiyak na palalakihin lang so it’s better to keep quiet.”

GEOFF WILLING TO GO NUDE, TRY 'SURVIVOR PHILIPPINES'

GEOFF Eigenmann is taking a rest as “Magic Palayok” ends tonight. “It’ll be a very exciting finale so viewers shouldn’t miss its ending.” What’s next for him?

“I’m not sure yet. Baka another teleserye or a reality show, pero hindi muna si Carla (Abellana) ang makakasama ko as she’s busy shooting three films now.” He has no inkling what the teleserye might be but we heard it might be the remake of the Korean rom-com “Attic Cat” meant for Dingdong Dantes and Heart Evangelista. But since Dingdong already said he won’t do it, then it might be offered to Geoff. If ever, this is the first time they’d be paired in GMA after doing “Hiram” and “Hiram na Mukha” on ABS-CBN. As for the reality show, it might be the new celebrity edition of “Survivor Philippines”. “I’m not really sure kung yun nga,” he says. But if it’s “Survivor”, would he be willing to do it and stay in an island for 45 days? “Yes, why not. I’m adventurous naman. But nothing is sure as of now.”

His mom, Gina Alajar, is one of the most hated women on TV today in her role as Lamitan in “Amaya,”  “I’m so proud of her. It means she’s very effective in her portrayal.”

His cousin Sid Lucero is winning one best actor award after another in the indie films he does? “I’m willing to do indie films also, but indie directors yata think I’m not available.” Can he do  what Sid does, like doing nude scenes and gay love scenes? “Okay lang sa’kin, as long as the project is good at maganda talaga yung role.”

YOUNG ACTOR'S MOM COULDN'T WATCH HIM ANYMORE

ALDEN Richards is one very lucky guy. He auditioned before in Starstruck and didn’t qualify. Now, he’s busier than those who’ve won in Starstruck after he was tapped to play Louise de los Reyes’ leading man in “Alakdana.”  He’s also in the Tween Stars movie, “Tweens Academy 2012” where he’s paired with Louise anew.

Not only that, he just won as Most Amazing Male Newcomer in the 1st Yahoo Phil, OMG Awards. “I started with TV commercials,” he says. “Sa ‘Alakdana’, nag-walk in lang ako sa audition. After two days, I learned ako’ng napili, so it’s really a big blessing. Dream ko ang mag-artista kasi my mom would say, ‘Gusto ko, anak, mapanood kita sa TV at sumikat ka.’ Parang nagdilang anghel siya, but she passed away without seeing me na artista na. Sobrang pasasalamat ko ng kagatin ng tao ang ‘Alakdana’, so heto, tuluy-tuloy na ang career ko ngayon.

The 18-year old actor  signed a 5-year contract with GMA and is now with GMA Artist Center. The first thing he did with his earnings is to buy a second hand car. “Kasi we live in Sta. Rosa, Laguna at dati, I just take the public transport when I report sa GM. Sanay akong mag-bus, but now, may driver na rin ako para pag pagod na ako sa taping o shooting, di na ako mag-drive pa.”

He joined male beauty pageants and won Ginoong Sta. Rosa in 2009 and Ginoong Laguna in 2010. His mestizo good looks is definitely heartthrob material. He’s now also helping send his younger siblings to school. “Siyempre, I have to share my blessings with my family.”

TACLOBAN'S SANGYAW FESTIVAL IMPRESSIVE

WE just came from the fabulous Sangyaw Festival in Tacloban City upon the invitation of Mayor Alfred Romualdez and First Lady-Councilor Cristina ‘Kring Kring’ Gonzales.  We got there with other writer friends on Tuesday and stayed at the beautiful Leyte Park Hotel by the sea overlooking the island of Samar.

In the evening, Sen. Bongbong Marcos and Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez joined our group. They treated us to the Tacloban Astrodome concert of Toto vocalist Bobby Kimball who wasn’t so impressive the evening was easily stolen from him by the Filipino band called Zoo who’s certainly better. The show definitely got a big boost when Kring Kring was called on stage and she sang ‘Twist and Shout’ with them.

This was a great crowdpleaser and Kring Kring was heartily applauded by the crowd. It’s easy to see the people of Tacloban love her.

The next day was Sangyaw day parade with various government and commercial establishments participating. The biggest group was the Liga ng Barangay. We watched 14 contingents from various barangays and schools compete. We were seated at the grandstand so we got a good view of them.

The competitors were called tribus: Kandis, Palanog, Kaurusa, Sieta Quatro, Karisyuhan, Boboli, Himaya-on, Mananguete, Sirum, Tuway, Kinarawgan, Mag-uruma, Marayhak, Magtarabo, Maglalara, and Fatima. All the dancers were garbed in colorful costumes and danced with much gusto and enthusiasm. The most impressive performances were those of the Mananguete (also last year’s winner) and Maglalara.

We asked Mayor Alfred what really happened earlier when the parade organized by a rival group headed by the governor was allegedly disrupted by him. This was published in some papers. “Cebu, Iloilo and Davao have their own festivals like Sinulog, Dinagyang and Kadayawan.

Sangyaw  is for Tacloban and for our patron, the Sto. Nino,” he said. “But the provincial government put up their own parade.

We’ve long been trying to convince them to just join us because it looks divisive if we have separate festivals. Even the church was telling them for us to just one have festival every June 29 since the actual fiesta is June 30, but they refuse to do so. For their parade, they asked for a permit just a few days before it’s held and we gave them the same permit they asked last year. But  they wanted a different route. Tacloban is an independent city and under the government code, you cannot just close all major roads for them. When their wish wasn’t granted, they rammed the barriers we put up so they can pass through.     It’s really sad that this had to happen.”

Tomorrow, we’ll tell you more about Kring Kring and her plans as First Lady and head of Tacloban’s Tourism Committee.
