IPINAGTANGGOL ni Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile ang Korte Suprema sa pagbawi nito sa nauna nilang ruling na nag-aatas na maibalik sa puwesto ang 1,400 na kawani ng Philippine Airlines (PAL).

Naniniwala si Enrile na walang malisya sa desisyon ng Korte Suprema kaya’t hindi ito dapat pagduduhan ng publiko. “Being seasoned lawyers and juries, they do not just throw out a decision if there is no reason for it. You have to presume good faith. I do not presume malice on their part,” saad ni Enrile.

“Magkamali man sila, all of them will not be insensitive, especially we take an oath to follow ethical standards,” dagdag pa nito.

Kasabay ng pagbawi, nagdesisyon ang Korte Suprema na  buksan ang kaso ng FASAP laban sa PAL.

Ipinaliwanag ni Enrile na may kapangyarihan ang en banc na mag-reverse sa decision ng mga division ng Korte Suprema. “The highest organ of the SC is the SC itself which is en banc. They can change their mind if they see points not seen in the previous decision,” wika pa ni Enrile.
