Isuzu Philippines Corp. highlighted its 14th anniversary last month with a series of promos and activities.
To mark the special occasion, Isuzu has launched three promotional offerings. The first of these promos is called “Isang Pasasalamat Mula Sa Isuzu,” which offers outright discounts to buyers of Isuzu passenger vehicles. Customers can avail of discounts of up to P65,000 for the Alterra, P30,000 for the D-Max and P35,000 for the Crosswind.
There’s also a loyalty reward program in which long-time Isuzu customers automatically get a P10,000 cash reward for either purchasing a new Isuzu vehicle or referring a buyer.
The third promo is called “The Crosswind Sportivo Choose Your Own Treat,” which gives Crosswind buyers a chance to win either a P100,000 vacation package or a P100,000 entertainment package. Consolation prizes include SM gift certificates worth as much as P30,000.
All these offerings and more are in store for customers as Isuzu revs it up for another exciting year in the Philippines. These promos have been extended until August 2011.
In addition to its customer-oriented promos, Isuzu also brought a select group of journalists to Camarines Sur onboard six units of the 2011 Crosswind as part of its anniversary celebration.
True to the company’s tradition of promoting domestic tourism using its award-winning and best-selling vehicles, Isuzu gave members of the motoring press a taste of the active lifestyle by showing them how to “Drive with Confidence” on a journey to the CamSur Watersports Complex—one of the hottest tourist destinations in the country today. Sports footwear was also provided by Reebok Philippines for the event.
“Isuzu Philippines Corporation has always been a strong advocate of domestic tourism,” IPC President Ryoji Yamazaki said.
“The company has made it a tradition to bring the motoring press to different destinations around the country using powerful, reliable, fuel-efficient and comfortable Isuzu vehicles.”
IPC chose to highlight the Crosswind on the occasion of its 14th anniversary since this is the very vehicle that brought the Isuzu brand to unprecedented prominence in the Philippine automotive market.
By choosing the Bicol region as a destination for this activity, Isuzu was able to prove that the Crosswind is indeed an all-weather multipurpose vehicle since the area is known for typhoons and heavy rains.
The journalists were reminded once more of the proven performance of the Crosswind’s 2.5-liter 4JA1 direct-injection turbodiesel engine, which is Euro 2-compliant. They also got to appreciate the vehicle’s large cabin area for both passenger and cargo use. Most importantly, they were again able to confirm the Crosswind’s renowned fuel economy. Isuzu’s enduring model had registered a fuel-efficiency rating of 21.64 kilometers per liter of diesel at the 2010 Isuzu Challenge, and 18.03 kilometers per liter at the 2008 Department of Energy Fuel Economy Run.
New Crosswind features for 2011 include: new headlights with clear lenses and black outline; new black-finish radiator grille base; new black center console; clear-lens turn signals (XTi); and new audio head units (JVC KD-R516 for XTi; Sony CDX GT 300S for XT; and JVC KD-G206 for XL).
For the XUV and Sportivo variants, the following new features have been introduced: new one-piece sports bumper at the rear, complete with built-in reflectors; new-design rear-quarter molding; new oval-shaped tailpipe finisher; black-finish sidestep board; clear-lens turn signals; new black upper and front console; new black rear console box; and beige-and-black seat material for driver and front passenger.
