What is life without math?

MATHEMATICS is often a feared subject.  Students   love to hate it.

Even adults hate math because ofthe  difficulty to solve  problems. This fear of the unknown and lack of understanding will eventually lead to frustration and make them  loathe  the subject.

Why go through all the trouble of trying to understand the complexities of math in the first place, when solving x has nothing to do with shopping for groceries?

What students need to understand is that math is everywhere. From counting candles on a birthday cake to paying for taxi fares, there is a need for strong mathematical skills. And what’s best is that learning math goes beyond plain calculations.  It  is also designed to develop logical thinking and analytical skills which are vital to both children and adults.

The Kumon Math Program does just that. Because a  weak learning foundation is one of the causes of the students’ struggle and hatred for  mathematics, the Kumon Math Program begins teaching the students with a topic comparatively lower than what they learn in school. Through the low starting point, students can then fully understand and develop their skills from the basics, allowing them to get ready for the higher and more challenging math problems with ease, less dislike, and frustration.

While developing the fundamentals, the Kumon Method also considers the individual ability of each child. Students can only move on to the next topic when they have already mastered the previous one. And as they gain confidence in their ability to answer one math problem to another, they can soon say, “Hey, I can do this! I thought I hated math but now, I can answer these problems!”

A global method  now available  in the Philippines, Kumon is fortified with 50 years of consistency, breaking through all kinds of borders–be it varying languages, lifestyles, educational systems, and cultures.
