TONI Gonzaga was asked at the presscon of her movie with Piolo Pascual, “Last Night”, about John Lloyd Cruz, her leading man in the sitcom “Home Sweetie Home”, and his controversial shenanigans with Ellen Adarna, who’s their co-star in “Home Sweetie Home”.

Is there any change in their weekly tapings of “Home Sweetie Home” after what happened?  “Wala naman. Ganun pa rin. Walang pagbabago. Kasi three years na rin kaming magkakasama taping the show, so parang family na talaga kami. Joyce Bernal.”

JOHN Lloyd Cruz and Ellen Adarna seem to be so madly in love with each other that they have taken a “you and me against the world” stance. They are oblivious to all the criticisms hurled against them and they even seem to enjoy the controversies they are involved in. JLC apologized before, saying he regretted the postings on social media of him acting weirdly and doing the dirty finger sign. But soon after his apology, he posted more gross and yucky photos that we’d rather not describe here at all.

This will not be objectionable if JLC had the same reputation as his "Tabing Ilog" contemporary who’s also done a lot of controversial things, Baron Geisler. But JLC is an A-lister, an award-winning and respectable actor. There are occasional reports about him having a drinking problem but he is still admired by a lot of people, both young and old.

But what he’s doing now is worse than anything he has done before. Someone says that he seems to be bent on trekking the road to self-destruction, demolishing whatever gains and respectability he has earned for himself before in his long career that started when he was still a teenager.
And it seems JLC is really doing it on purpose. As they say in Tagalog, nananadya. Because a lot of people already lambasted him but he did more undesirable things to taunt them. Maybe he should just tie the knot with Ellen so they can fully enjoy each other’s company to the max. Then they can do whatever they want as a couple and just turn a deaf ear to all those who bash them. Who knows? They might even live happily  ever after. And as the saying goes: “Laging nasa huli ang pagsisisi!”

DEVON Seron is optimistic that Filipino viewers will enjoy her movie with two K-drama actors, Hyun Woo and Jin Ju Hyung, that had its premiere night at Trinoma last night with both actors as her escorts. Their romantic-comedy shot in Korea and Manila, “You With Me”, will be up against the Piolo Pascual-Toni Gonzaga movie that also opens today, September 27, and no doubt it’s a formidable rival at the box office.
“First movie collaboration ito with Filipinos and Koreans at talagang pinaganda nang husto ng director naming si Rommel Ricafort kasi hindi lang ito sa bansa natin ipalalabas but also in Korea and other Asian countries. You’ll see all the beautiful scenic spots in Korea at para na rin kayong bumisita roon.”

Devon reveals that when she auditioned for “You With Me”, she didn’t have an idea that they will shoot the movie on location in Korea and she will be having Korean leading men.

“Narinig ko lang sa make- up artist na kaibigan ko na may gagawing audition for an indie film. Eh, noon ko pa talaga pangarap na makagawa ng indie kasi I know I will learn a lot from the experience.

Devon is a discovery of PBB Teens in 2010 where James Reid won and they were first paired together. Ginagamit ko raw si James to promote ‘You With Me’. E, tinatanong lang naman ako ng press about him kaya ako

sumasagot.
Since their movie will next be shown in Korea, does she consider having a career there also? “Why not?
