MEGAN Young has reason to rejoice as the pilot week of her new show, “The Stepdaughters”, emerged as
the winner in the ratings game, especially when the kids Mayumi and Isabelle grew up and became
Megan and Katrina Halili.

“Salamat sa lahat ng nanonood and we’re all thankful ng mga kasama ko kasi hindi na-
disappoint ang GMA-7 sa amin as we were able to sustain the high ratings of the show that we
replaced, ‘Impostora’,” she says. “At least, hindi kami napahiya! Thank God!”

This is her first team up with real life BF Mikael Daez and they’re grateful that the
feedback about them is very positive. “Right timing lang 'yung pagtatrabaho namin together,” she
says. “Alam naman ng lahat na ever since, very low key kami and I’d like to think that’s
the reason why we were able to maintain a good relationship. We really guarded it well. We never
lied about it naman.  We never denied anything, right? Even if we wanted to shout to the world that
we love each other, we controlled ourselves and I’m so glad people respected us naman.”
Up to now, they still try to avoid talking about each other, if they could help it. “Mas
okay na kasi 'yung low profile. There are many things about us na mas okay kung huwag na lang
pagkuwentuhan, like some details of our relationship, para we can maintain pa rin some

privacy. It’s our decision naman not to share everything and we’d like to keep our personal life
separate from our careers as actors, as much as possible. This has helped us maintain a healthy
relationship for seven years now.”

DINA Bonnevie plays the mother of Lovi Poe while Snooky Serna is the mom of Erich Gonzales in the
love triangle drama, “The Significant Other”. Dina and Snooky are original Regal Babies who co-
starred in the1980 hit, “Underage”. In “The Significant Other”, Lovi and Erich have a violent
slapping scene, and so did Dina and Snooky.
“Yung sampalan namin, naganap sa banyo nang magtagpo kami roon,” says Dina. “Sabi ni Direk
Joel Lamangan sa’kin, 'Dina, totohanin mo, ha.' So I told Cookie, 'o ayan, totohanin daw.' And she
told me naman, 'naku, Ate, nate-tense ako, please lang, hinaan mo.'  So we did it, hininaan ko, then
Direk Joel shouted, 'you’re faking it. Ulitin nyo.' So inulit, ang ending, mas malakas ang sampal ni
Cookie sa akin, ha.”
“Naku, I have so much love and respect for the one and only Dina Bonnevie,” Snooky says in
return. “She’s beauty and brains, napakagaling na artista. The truth is nase-senti akong makasama
siya kasi I remember our ‘Underage’ days na ako ang baby nila at Ate ko siya. Dins, wag ka nang
magalit sa akin, sorry.  Sobrang lakas ba talaga?”
“Malakas, pero okay lang,” says Dina. “We’re actresses, so part lang ng trabaho natin.”
One line in the movie that registered well in the trailer was Lovi telling Erich: “Huwag
mong bigyan ng katwiran ang kalandian mo!” Have they ever told this to anyone?
“Ako, wala akong nasabihan ng ganyan, hindi ako umabot sa mga ganyang eksena,” says Snooky.
“Ako rin, hindi,” says Dina. “Kasi Tagalog 'yan, e. Alam nyo naman, Inglisera ako. But for
me, if the guy is taken, don’t give the excuse na ‘nagmahal lang ako, wala akong ginawang mali.’
That’s a lot of BS. Kung may nababalitaan akong may other woman ang partner ko, I never
stoop to their level. The worst thing I did is when I learned the other girl was there having dinner
with him, I bought a new dress and just walked in and said, ‘Hi, I’m sorry I’m late for our date’.
Naloka 'yung girl kasi may date pala kami, tapos nandun siya. Wala lang.

Pagkatapos kong umeksena, tumalikod ako’t umalis na. There are many other instances in my life where
I could have been involved in a catfight with the other woman, but never talaga akong bumaba sa
level nila. I believe I have so much class, I’m beautiful, educated, so I’ll never stoop to their
“The Significant Other” will have its premiere night this Tuesday at Trinoma and opens in
theaters this coming Wednesday, February 21.

A LOT of people are asking whatever happened to Nora Aunor. She seems to be missing from the public
eye for sometime now. She did lots of indie films in 2016 like “Kabisera”, “Tuos”, “Hinulid”,
“Whistleblower”, etc., for which she got acting nominations, but last year, she failed to do any
single movie. Even on TV, her last teleserye was still “Little Nanay” on GMA-7 in 2015 yet, and then
appeared in an episode of MMK in 2016.
Well, after months of hibernation in her native Bicol, we’re sure her loyal fans will be
glad to hear that she’s back before the cameras once more. We’re told that Ate Guy was convinced to
work again for a Lenten presentation of TAPE this coming Semana Santa in “Eat Bulaga”.
She will co-star with EB regulars Pia Guanio and Ryzza Mae Dizon in a special drama episode
directed by Ricky Davao. We heard Ate Guy is very professional all throughout the taping. She has a
cut off at 12  midnight but she stayed on until 3:30 a.m. when the taping of the entire episode has
been completed.
Then she gave special treats to the crew (we won’t tell you what) and everyone had a realy
good time working with her. Well, we just hope this will open new opportunities for Ate Guy to be
more active this year than she was in the past year.
