AGA still in-demand as leading man

Aga Muhlach

AGA Muhlach remains as one of the most in-demand leading men despite his nearing golden age and a respite from doing movies for nearly five years.  In 2017, Aga made his successful movie comeback sa pamamagitan ng “Seven Sundays” na pinagsamahan nila nina Dingdong Dantes, Cristine Reyes, Enrique Gil at Ronaldo Valdez mula sa direksiyon ng box office director na si Cathy Garcia-Molina under Star Cinema.  The movie earned P271-M sa box office.   This year, may dalawang tinapos na pelikula si Aga, one with Alice Dixson and another one with Bea Alonzo na parehong kinunan sa ibang bansa.

Aga has done several movies with Alice before and these include “Hot Summer” in 1989,  “Joey Boy Munti: 15 Anyos Ka Sa Kulungan” in 1991 at “Sinungaling Mong Puso” in 1992. Although wala pang ibang detalye ang reunion movie nina Aga at Alice, naka-can na ito and ready for showing.  Mukhang mauunang ipalabas sa mga sinehan ang first team-up sa pelikula nina Aga at Bea Alonzo na pinamahalaan ng mister ni Toni Gonzaga na si Paul Soriano na pinamagatang “First Love”. The movie is a joint production ng Seven10 Productions, Star Cinema and Viva Films.

They first teamed-up in the 1992 Metro Manila Film Festival movie na “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal” written and directed by Joey Javier Reyes under OctoArts Films.    The movie earned for Aga his first Best Actor trophy and Best Supporing Actor award for singer-actor Ariel Rivera for his debut film.

Aga is happily married to former beauty queen-actress Charlene Gonzales for the last 17 years at meron silang teen-age twins na sina Andres at Atasha (16).
